Coursework Projects

At Cornell, I’ve been able to do a number of projects as part of the curriculum. Many of these were part of MAE2250, Mechanical Synthesis, which focused on mechanical design and fabrication skills.

A vise I machined as part of a supplemental machining course (MAE4900)
One of the major projects in MAE 2250 was the design of a water pump. This animation shows my groups pump design, which incorporated four individual diaphragm pumps, connected with a scotch yoke central driving mechanism.

The other major project in MAE 2250 was an open design project, where we were tasked with making a tool to assist in a hobby. My partner and I designed the ‘Pirouette’, a snowboard binding mounting pl
Another 2250 project was to design a functional model of a sculpture that is part of the Reuleaux Collection at Cornell
The Reuleaux model sculpture I chose to model in CAD
A laser-cut motor driven car, optimized for both tug-of-war and speed (in different configs) created for MAE1170, Intro to Mechanical Engineering
